With the coming Hurricane season onthe big island comes the ever-present warnings and advisories. Thus far, we escape unscathed with little moisture to speak of. Once the hurricanes hits the 130 west parallel it becomes named in the Hawaiian language. One damagind hurricane of late was named Iniki. The storm damaged choke houses beaches etc... In da end the storm did small kine damage though.... maybe only 12-18 hours strait 30+ miles an hour wind maxing out at 100. Here is a pic...Sept, 11, 1992.
