Hostra Flower found in the front yard. These beautiful blossoms are found all year long at a seemingly never ending rate. So fragrant.

Edible Begonia flower. High in levels of vitamin C and other anti-oxidants. This flower tastes delicious on salads, taro pancakes, etc... The taste is sweet and sour with a citrus tangy finish.

This unusually large and pokey fruit is known as a Jackfruit. The tender inside morsels could feed a large group of people. The flesh surrounding the morsels is baked and tastes similar to squash.

Kukui Dog Kukui Tree

This is little Kukui puppy just after we got him Waimea way. We love him he is cute. The Kukui is a tree in Hawai'i that was and is used for oil, tatu and a source of light. The Kukui nut when dried can be punctured in series with a coconut frond and used like a candle. He sure is black like Kukui nuts.
